They come few and far between, but for the most part the people you interact with are real people. Oh, and by the way, there is almost no botting on the site. All of these perks come from Newgrounds itself. It supports YouTube, YouTube Music, SoundCloud, Twitch, and other music streaming services to play on the Discord. You can obtain more SoundCloud plays when you are happy with the results. This service is limited to one submission for each artist only.
Once you’ve submitted details and verified your e-mail address, we start processing 250 plays without charge.
No Twitter or Reddit reposts or self-promos on Discord channels. You can try our free SoundCloud plays without having to commit. In addition, you can try riding the coattails of animation or game contests by having your work used in a submission.Īll of this, just from the site alone. Sometimes NG hosts other contests as well-currently we're also hosting an SNES Music Contest, and there was an Art Inspired Music contest earlier this year. Other popular annual music contests are the Audio Death Match (NGADM for short) and Underdog Audio Contest (NGUAC), the latter having tiers so that smaller users can compete. At the time of writing we've just kicked off the Halloween Spooktacular, which features a music contest along with contests in other mediums like animation. On top of that, NG offers quite a few contests for producers showing their talent, many of which offer real prizes including plugins and cash. Sometimes, other users might pop up looking for your music for their own projects, so these can be good times to get connected with others in the music and arts community on NG. There's also a Review-for-Review thread where you can get a review on your track as long as you review someone else's. You can also make a Music Thread in the Audio Forum, or post in the Audio Advertisements thread. You can make Self Posts advertising your track (and just about anything else, really) which shows up on the site News Posts list. Plus, once you get scouted (you'll need to have >4 valid audio submissions + a verifier) getting views on your music is easier than ever-as a hard dance producer I've gotten more views on my tracks from Newgrounds alone than from Soundcloud, including promoting music off-platform, which is a personal testimony to how good Newgrounds is.Īs for self-promotion, NG offers lots of opportunities to get promoted. Site rules on commenting (reviewing) on submissions means that most comments you'll receive will be about the music itself and may include some tips to help you.
Its rating and scouting system encourages viewers to listen to new music and get rewarded. IMO Newgrounds is a great way to get promoted within the site alone.
I recommend Newgrounds for its Audio Portal as long as you don't use copyrighted samples then you should be fine.
